TregoED AwardPosted on: Tuesday, November 20, 2018The York County School Division and members of the division’s executive leadership team were recognized Monday with the prestigious Benjamin B. Tregoe Award for Strategic Leadership in Education for excellence in collaborative decision-making. The award recognizes school districts, individuals or teams that have achieved significant and enduring results using TregoED tools for collaborative problem solving and decision making. It is not based on the outcomes of the decisions themselves, but rather, the way the school system arrived at those outcomes. YCSD has used TregoED processes for a variety of topics in the last two years such as crafting an elementary rezoning proposal, identifying an instructional program for alternatively-placed students, and the development of a standards-based elementary report card. The TregoED framework ensures a trained, impartial facilitator leads discussion to assess complex issues, make decisions, solve problems, and implement change. Read more |
