YCSDigest - February 25, 2021Posted on: Thursday, February 25, 2021Next Friday, March 5 will now be a full school day for all students, including the Virtual Academy. While the division’s original school calendar included an early release day next week, it has also been noted that early release days may become full days while the division is in the Remote or Hybrid models. As Cohort 2 has been affected by two inclement weather days, this action helps restore in-person learning opportunities for those students. Please remember that all schools will dismiss at their normal time on Friday, March 5. Read more |

Students should log in to class for synchronous instruction in accordance with their school schedule tomorrow morning. Essential staff should report onsite as directed by their supervisor, while all other staff are authorized to telework. Weekend athletics schedules will be evaluated tomorrow. Read more |

More than 600 YCSD employees have begun receiving and/or scheduling their vaccinations. This is an important step in our ongoing efforts to resume in-person instruction for all students enrolled in the Flexible Framework. While we do not have a definitive timeline for when all employees will have received both doses of the vaccine, we do know it takes up to 3-4 weeks after the second inoculation before the vaccine reaches optimal protection.
