Education Datapalooza

YCSD Superintendent Eric Williams presented at the 2012 Education Datapalooza hosted by the White House and the U.S. Department of Education. The event highlighted innovations by educators and entrepreneurs relating to education and open data. Williams described how York County’s instructional initiatives, policies, and technology infrastructure support leveraging technology to improve student achievement. Other speakers included U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, U.S. Chief Technology Officer Todd Park, Assistant Deputy Secretary for Innovation and Improvement at the U.S. Department of Education Jim Shelton, as well as several CEOs.
