Yorktown Elementary Earns Environmental Award

Yorktown Elementary School (YES) has been recognized by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries with the 2012 “Virginia Naturally School Recognition Award”. The award seeks to recognize those exemplary efforts undertaken by Virginia schools to increase the environmental awareness and stewardship of its students. YES will receive a plaque commemorating this award.
