Four York County School Division (YCSD) teams participated in the Virginia Odyssey of the Mind competition that was held on Saturday, April 14 at Menchville High School in Newport News. Teams from both Grafton High School (GHS) and York High School (YHS) won first place in their problem categories and are now invited to participate in the World Finals of Odyssey of the Mind that will be held at Iowa State University May 23 - May 26.

 

Kelly Ha, a senior at Grafton High School and member of the GHS Odyssey of the Mind team, received a VOICES Scholarship at the State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament. Kelly, who will receive $500 each year for four years, plans on attending the University of Pennsylvania in the fall.
