York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. Awards Grants to York County Schools

The York Foundation for Public Educators, Inc. (YFPE) awarded a total of $5,800 to five York County Schools for the 2009 Fall School Wide Initiative Grants Program. The funds are awarded for the development and design of innovative strategies that help to reshape, enhance or improve education for all students within the school. Peggy Myatt, Director of the YFPE, and YFPE Board Member Catherine Jones, along with the winning schools’ principals, presented the recipients with their grants during surprise visits of the YFPE Prize Patrol. Additional funds were awarded to the Integrated Pre-school Outreach Program (IPOP) from the YFPE Special Programs fund to be used for tuition assistance in 2009-2010.
