Holocaust Writing Competition Winners

Congratulations to the following winners of the “2012 Holocaust Writing Competition” from Jill Barnes' 7th grade Advanced English classes at Grafton Middle School (GMS): Expository Category: 1st place Julia Larsen, 3rd place Miroslava Marinova; Creative Category: 2nd place Helen Harris. Finalists were Emma Kirschke, Ben Cokus, Mikael Cottrell, Rachel Meller, Lauren Bergstrom, Claire Nelson. The event was sponsored by the United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula.
