York High Students Win African American Trivia BowlPosted On: 3/9/2012 |
In honor of African American History Month, high school students, many of whom are participants in the Committee for Minority Affairs (CFMA), competed in the annual African American History Trivia Bowl sponsored by the Langley African American Heritage Council. Teams from Grafton, Tabb, and York High Schools competed. This year, York High School (YHS) students won first place. Under the leadership of Coach Samuel Eure, the winning team consisted of Malcolm Reynolds, Marvel Taylor, Rebekah Taylor, and Joey Wilson. In the individual round, Rachel Gonsalves of Grafton High School (GHS) took home the prize. |
