Waller Mill Students Get K-Mart Smart about Economics in the Community

Waller Mill Elementary School (WMES) second grade students took a walking field trip to K-Mart to learn more about services in the community and the different kinds of goods that are wants and needs. Students brought $2.00 spending money to make an economic choice to either spend it or save it. While on the field trip, students were given a tour and practiced adding money by writing down pretend purchases as well.
