LFCU Grant awarded to Seaford 5th Grade

The 5th grade teachers at Seaford Elementary School (SES) were awarded a $250 financial literacy grant from Langley Federal Credit Union (LFCU). The grant proposed the use of money to start a financial program for students during the second semester. Students will earn money for certain things in the classroom and they will spend money for renting their desk space, etc. The students will develop a personal budget and have to manage their money for their expenditures and purchase their rewards. This grant will reach across the curriculum tying in reading, writing, math, and social studies. The students will be taught real world experiences involving money.
