YMS and YHS Learn from NASA ExpertPosted On: 10/15/2010 |
Students in both the Yorktown Middle School International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and York High School chemistry courses had the unique opportunity to learn from NASA Langley Engineer Clint Cragg, as he discussed his involvement with advising the Chilean mine rescue efforts. A Falcon parent, Cragg was called to Chile as part of a team of experts who advised the Chilean government regarding safety, supplying resources, media relations, and other aspects related to the rescue. Additionally, Cragg addressed the media distortion that often occurs with events of this magnitude, helping students delineate between fact and fiction. |
