YCSD Schools & Offices Closed - March 16, 2026

After reviewing the latest National Weather Service forecast and consulting with local emergency management officials, we have decided to close all schools and offices for students and staff tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026.

The forecast indicates a Level 4 or moderate risk of damaging wind, hail and tornadoes, from noon through 9 p.m. These conditions could create power outages and hazards for school buses to safely operate – even during early dismissal time frames.

Supervisors will contact essential personnel regarding expectations for preparing buildings for weather. Otherwise, buildings and facilities are closed to all staff, students, and the community. All after-school activities, athletics, and events are also canceled.

We recognize schedule changes can create challenges for families, and we appreciate your understanding as we prioritize safety. Thank you for your continued support of the York County School Division.
