YCSD Remote Learning Day - January 23, 2025

Division crews worked throughout the day to clear parking lots and sidewalks at all YCSD facilities. However, many residential road conditions are not expected to improve enough overnight to allow for safe bus transportation tomorrow morning.

As a result, YCSD will implement an asynchronous learning day tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025. 12-month staff should report to their work locations on a 2-hour delay. Essential personnel should report as directed by supervisors.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Assignments for Preschool-Grade 2: Learning packets were sent home with students Tuesday.
  • Assignments for Grades 3-12: Available in Canvas unless otherwise directed by an individual teacher. Middle and high school students should complete assignments for their A-day classes.
  • Students should work at their own pace and complete assignments at any time during the day.

  • For assignment questions or support, students should contact their teacher through email, Canvas, or Teams.

While the division recognizes that in-person learning is best for students, making this shift tomorrow will help reduce the need for potential make-up days later this school year. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize safety and learning.
