Chili Cook Off Benefits the Food Bank

The Leadership Class at York High School put on a Chili Cook-Off, with all proceeds benefiting the Food Bank of the Virginia Peninsula. The student-run event raised $1,100 and featured nine competitors and five judges, including two professional chefs. The Chili Cook-Off presented a raffle, cake walk and bake sale to raise additional funds for the food bank. Winners: First place, Ron and Karen Gillingham. Second place, John Soles.
