Tabb High DECA Advances to International Competition

Members of the Tabb High School DECA joined 3,500 high school business, finance, hospitality and marketing students at the annual association career development conference held in early March at Virginia Beach where they participated in their career pathway competitive event.

The following students received recognition for individual ability and achievement at the state association level:

• Mary Kate Ross – Principals of Hospitality and Tourism Marketing
• Sam Andrus – Apparel and Accessories Marketing
• Cody O'Tool & Austin Hettche – Entrepreneurship Team Decision Event

These students will advance to international level competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference that will be held April 21-25, 2023, in Orlando, FL.

"We are so proud of all 19 state competitors. They represented Tabb extremely well in leadership and competitive spirit. We are excited for our ICDC qualifiers and know they will have an incredible experience joining 25,000 other DECA members from across the world in Orlando this April.," said Christina Majka & Lynn Pitchford, Tabb High School DECA Advisors.
