Grafton High Band Receives State Recognition

The Grafton High School (GHS) marching band and wind ensemble directed by Darren Kirsch and Gabe Stone has been named the “Virginia Honor Band” for the 2009-2010 school year for the sixth time by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA). To receive this status, the band must demonstrate comprehensive success in the areas of both concert and marching band performance. The GHS band received “superior” ratings and special recognition was credited to the band directors by the VBODA.
