Lego Robotics Program Receives Funding

Tabb Middle School (TMS) has been awarded a $2500 grant from BAE Systems for the first Lego Robotics Program. Grant funding will be used to purchase materials to integrate into the classroom and for use by a TMS Competition Team. The Competition Team will be part of TMS’s various extracurricular activities for interested middle school students. Robotics training will be provided to interested YCSD teachers during an August in-service training. The teachers will learn how to incorporate robotics into instruction. The program is designed to promote a greater student interest in science and technology.
