Bruton High to Celebrate Earth DayPosted On: 4/15/2010 |
The first annual Operation Green Sweep will be on Saturday, April 17 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. In recognition of Earth Day and Environmental Awareness, Bruton High School's student organizations, Beautification Committee and PTSA, are partnering with Kohl's Department store of upper York County to sponsor the event. Volunteers from Kohl's local store and regional office will join students, parents and faculty members to beautify the grounds by planting flowers, trees and shrubs, removing trash and debris, and restoring the green and gold panther paws at the high school. To promote Earth Day, Kohl's is awarding Bruton High School a $1,500 "Green" grant. |
