Coventry Elementary Students Featured on 13News Now

The artwork of some Coventry Elementary School students was featured on 13News Now's morning show this week. Art teacher Gerri Klepeisz developed a project for students to who have spare time in their art period to create a "Kids Care" card. On one side is the student's own artwork and on the other are encouraging words for the recipient. So far this school year, they have sent approximately 500 cards to North Carolina students affected by Hurricane Florence and plan to send more to students in Florida impacted by Hurricane Michael.
