Instructional Material Review

The York County School Division is currently conducting an Instructional Material Review (IMR) process for the following courses:

• 6th Grade Science
• 7th Grade Life Science
• 8th Grade Physical Science

All textbooks, teacher resources, student materials and electronic materials are reviewed and adopted through this process. Materials that highly correlate with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) and YCSD curriculum were targeted for the review process.

At this time, parents and community stakeholders are invited to review, and provide feedback, on the materials recommended for adoption. Public preview is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21st, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the YCSD School Board Office.
