First Responder Fridays

Members of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office have been spending a lot of time at Magruder Elementary School this year, along with Fire & Life Safety staff and Virginia State Police troopers – and students and staff are thrilled to have them there! It’s all part of the school’s new First Responder Friday program where the first responders are invited to sit and have lunch with the students. The program gives students a chance to get familiar with first responders outside of an emergency setting and learn about safety.
