 NASA Langley Research Center held a nationwide art contest for students in kindergarten through grade 12 to commemorate NASA's centennial celebration. While the results of the contest won’t be released until sometime in February, artwork from five York County School Division students have been selected to be among 24 that will be on display at the Virginia General Assembly Building in Richmond for the duration of this year’s General Assembly session. Lanson Shen, a first grader at Seaford Elementary School, was one of the youngest artists recognized and one of only two first graders included in this group.
