Mon Correspondant Français

Yorktown Middle School (YMS) students in Madame Kaufmann-Perry’s French I and II classes have been corresponding with native students from the French American School of Norfolk (FASN) via letters and a blog through this school year. They were finally able to meet each other in person at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

The field trip was the culminating activity for their Transformative Project-Based Learning entitled Mon Correspondant Français. Students participated in an art scavenger hunt with their pen pals, before presenting, in French and English, the artwork they had researched using the museum’s virtual museum tour option.
