Mt. Vernon Teacher Named VASC Science Teacher of the Year

More recognition for one of YCSD's finest! Tracy Buckley, a fifth grade teacher at Mt. Vernon Elementary School (MVES), and the YCSD Elementary Level Teacher of the Year has been named this year's Virginia Air & Space Center Science Teacher of the Year. The program, co-sponsored with the Langley chapter of the AFA, recognizes classroom teachers for their accomplishments and achievements in exciting K-12 students about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and preparing them to use and contribute to tomorrow’s technologies.
