SES Shows Student Support

Posted On: 4/22/2016

The entire Seaford Elementary School (SES) student body and staff donned special t-shirts to show support for a fellow student suffering from cancer. Wes Pak, a fourth grade student at SES, was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in 2011 and is now battling the disease for the fourth time. As a result of his diagnosis, Jedi Wes (as his family calls him) travels to New York frequently for treatment, missing school and school activities.

The school does so much to keep Wes involved and a part of their community – from supporting his special Toy Drive for CHKD to assisting in fundraising events. This particular event was inspired by and realized thanks to an SES parent, Lauren Blanchard, who started a non-profit called Got CUREage. Blanchard made and donated the t-shirts worn by students and staff.
