Benefits of Butterfly Gardens

Butterfly gardens aren’t just a part of the landscaping on York County School Division campuses, their primary purpose is to serve as a teaching tool. Students at Bethel Manor Elementary School have been learning about Monarch butterflies and the development cycles of butterflies since the beginning of the school year. Once the caterpillars become butterflies, students and staff tag them and release them.
