YCSD’s Chief Academic Officer Receives Award

The Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership (EPPL) course faculty and staff, and the School of Education at the College of William and Mary have chosen Dr. Lucia Sebastian, Chief Academic Officer at YCSD to receive the Jo Lynne DeMary award for 2010. The prestigious award is given in recognition of distinguished leadership and contributions to the field of education. The award is named for the first recipient, Dr. Jo Lynne DeMary, an alumnus of William and Mary and the first female State Superintendent of Public Instruction for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dr. Sebastian will receive the award at the EPPL Alumni Breakfast on February 18, 2010. Congratulations!
