TMS Educator Presented with Walter Zeller Award

The Walter Zeller Award, presented by the Kiwanis organization, acknowledges an individual whose work and dedication benefits children. At the last Capital District Kiwanis Convention in September, Laura Shaske, math teacher at Tabb Middle School (TMS), was presented with this medal. Mrs. Shaske is also the sponsor of the Tabb Builders Club, which not only builds students’ leadership skills, but also teaches students about making a difference in the world. Currently, the club is building a school in Sierra Leone.
