YCSD Elementary Schools Honored

The Virginia Board of Education recently recognized Dare and Magruder Elementary Schools as Title I Distinguished Schools. Only 36 schools across the state achieved this honor, which is based on student achievement on state assessments during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years. Title I Distinguished Schools are recognized for meeting all state and federal accountability requirements and achieving average reading and mathematics SOL scores at the 60th percentile or higher. Congratulations to these schools for earning this recognition!
