Saving the Bay is a Growing Project for Tabb High's Club EarthPosted On: 6/6/2014 |
Students from Tabb High School's (THS) Club Earth planted aquatic grasses to help with the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem recovery. The club planted seeds, provided by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, in a contained environment at the school in February. They nurtured the aquatic plants until they were large enough to transplant at which time students Jennifer Melfie and Jack Gleisberg planted the grasses in the James River. Some of the aquatic plants were about three feet in length. |
