YCSD Elementary Schools Honored

The Virginia Board of Education recently recognized Bethel Manor, Dare, Magruder, and Waller Mill elementary school as Title I Distinguished Schools. The awards are based on student achievement on state assessments during the 2011-2012 and 2010-2011 school years. Title I Distinguished schools are recognized for meeting all state and federal accountability requirements and achieving average reading and mathematics SOL scores at the 60th percentile or higher. Congratulations to these schools for earning this recognition.
