YHS Marching Band Having a Great Year

The York High School (YHS) Marching Band is hoping to continue its winning ways in Annapolis this weekend. Under the direction of Mr. Richard Purvis, the band won first place in the Division Four Marching Band category at the Powhatan Fall Classic Competition held October 26, 2013. The Falcons excelled in many categories winning a superior rating overall, first place in music, marching, visual performance and percussion and second place in general effects. We wish them the best of luck at the regional competition in Annapolis.
