Coast Guard Contest Winners at Yorktown Elementary

Yorktown Elementary Art students combined engineering skills with art to create amazing posters of innovative future ships. Students were asked to design a ship that transports goods more environmentally friendly; or uses an alternative fuel in the International Coast Guard/Jason Project, Let's Make Ships Greener Art Contest open to K-12 grades. Six 1st place winners were chosen from K-5; and six were chosen from 6-12 grades. Matthew Petrie was selected as the Grand prize winner of the contest. Krupa Patel, Maanov Patel and Caroline Allmon were chosen as first prize winners.
