Yorktown Middle Helping Hands Food Drive

The newly formed Builder's Club at Yorktown Middle School (YMS) gathered over 300 pounds of donated food in the inaugural Helping Hands Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of the Virginia Peninsula. Designed to restock Food Bank shelves following the Thanksgiving holiday, students focused their efforts on collecting healthy selections for donations. The YMS Builder's Club is sponsored by the Grafton Kiwanis Club and is in its first year of operation.
